Eligibility

Successful applicants will typically hold a degree based on First Class Honours (or equivalent) including a significant research project component or a Masters qualification at a first class equivalent standard.

Relevant additional information regarding research experience and/or research publications in international journals will provide strong support for scholarship applications.

For those applicants for whom English is not first language, or who have not undertaken their degree studies with English as the language of instruction, must attain a satisfactory English language test score (TOEFL or IELTS) before the scholarships allocation.

Scholarship information

A wide range of scholarships are available for postgraduate research candidates at Monash University. There are three-levels of opportunity for candidates wishing to obtain a scholarship to support the pursuit of a research degree in the Faculty of Science. These include:

1. Centrally-awarded scholarships
2. Faculty and School funded scholarships
3. External donor funded scholarships

How to apply

If you are wishing to make an enquiry regarding Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Science (MSc) projects and candidatures please ensure you have read the entry requirements and have provided the following to the school:

Academic transcripts (including proof course has been completed).

Enclosed a full C.V.

Applicants for whom English is not the first language, documentary evidence of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS ) is required.

Let us know the type of research project you would like to undertake and supervisor.
