  • Petrology and geochemistry of granitic complexes, especially in the Lachlan Fold Belt
  • Petrology/geochemistry/volcanology of island arc volcanoes
  • Analytical geochemistry, especially laser-based ICP-MS analysis and other high spatial resolution (single mineral) techniques
  • Petrology/geochemistry of SE Australian Mesozoic-Cenozoic basaltic suites associated with Gondwana breakup
