23rd Victorian Universities Earth and Environmental Sciences Conference (VUEESC) 2009

Welcome to the 23rd Annual VUEESC (Victorian Universities Earth and Environmental Sciences Conference), held at Monash University, Clayton Campus. We woulld like to invite you to attend and present your work at this conference which is aimed at students from across Victoria (and Australia-wide) in Earth Sciences and related fields. This is a great opportunity for all Honours, Masters and PhD students to present aspects of their research to fellow students and academics in your fields of expertise.

Registration and attendance is free! Participants will receive a free conference showbag and comlimentary refreshments as well as lunch. Various prizes will be awarded for oral and poster presentations. The theme of the conference is broad to accommodate all aspects of Environmental and Earth Sciences. Invited topics are:

  • Tectonics & Structural Geology

Registration deadline: Friday 16th October 2009

If you are interested in giving a poster or oral presentation, please send a copy of your abstract to vueesc@sci.monash.edu.au.  An example abstract can be found here. Please follow the format set out in the example abstract and keep the total document to one page. Don't forget to indicate your preference of an oral or poster presentation in the abstract.
